Eunjung Joy Lee currently serves the EML community as an EML Therapeutic Counselor (ETC) at Montgomery County Public Schools. Operating from a cross-cultural perspective while demonstrating a heightened sensitivity and respect toward complex backgrounds, the scope of her work includes: providing counseling services to English Learners (EL) and Emergent Multilingual Learners (EMLs) in grades Pre-K through 12; leading crisis intervention and counseling for EL students; and providing support, training, and information to teachers, school staff and administration in matters related to crisis intervention, restorative justice, mental health, trauma-informed practices, and cultural sensitivity. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, gardening, and volunteering at local immigrant community organizations. She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
